Birthday 5k
The official announcement has gone out … did you hear?
I was trying to think of a fun, different and creative way to celebrate my impending 30th birthday … September 16, 2012! Since I love running, I thought what better way than with my own 5k for friends and family. And thus:
The Dani Ryan Holmes-Kirk 1st Annual 30th Birthday 5k Run-Walk Ramble
was born!
I checked with the City of Somerville and they are okay with the event.
So far Raffle sponsors include: Go Sport ID, Marathon Sports, Slumbrew Brewing Company, Snuggbuds, Sparkly Soul, Vitalicious and Zensah.
Post-race brews will be provided by Samuel Adams Brewing Company and post-race snacks will be provided by Popchips.
Every runner and walker will receive a finishing medal!

Where: Run will Start and Finish at 25 Governor Winthrop Road, Somerville, MA 02145
Entry Fee: A $15 donation to the yet-to-be-named 2013 Boston Marathon Charity Team I will be on
Parking: Street parking will be available in the neighborhood since it is a Sunday

Since the in person 5k is mainly for friends and family in the Boston area, I will be setting up a virtual race as well so friends, family and Twitter/Facebook friends can participate as well…
