I'm constantly on the go: hustling from one Weight Watchers meeting to another, trying to squeeze in just one more run before the sun sets, hanging out with friends or blogging. I feel like I live out of my backpack. Can anyone else relate?
As someone who is constantly on the move AND trying to watch my weight, I can definitely get behind these new Special K Chewy Snack Bars!
Each bar is 3 Weight Watchers PPV. Not too bad compared to many snack bars currently on the market.
The brand new Special K Chewy Snack Bars will be hitting a grocery store near you in January 2015... yes that is just days away! Look how lucky you are? :)
I need to thank Special K for sending me this sweet care package (and just before Christmas) so I could test out these new bars before they go on sale to the public!
If you looked in my backpack, you would think I was a mother of four with the number of snacks I keep on hand. In case you don't know me, I have zero kids. :P
But I need to stay ahead of hunger, which is the only way I can keep off my 80lb weight loss!
When I am hungry and in a rush, nine times out of 10 I'll make a poor choice if I don't have something on me.
So the past couple of weeks, I haven't left my house without one of the four Special K flavors - Berry Medley, Blueberry Bliss, Salted Caramel Chocolate and Salted Pretzel Chocolate – in my bag.
These Special K Chewy Bars are made with wholesome ingredients you can see like rich chocolate chunks, crunchy salted pretzels, real fruit pieces, crunchy rice crisps and rolled oats.
Since I normally try to sneak in a run before leading a Weight Watchers meeting, I need a quick snack to curb the "rungry horrors." They are like hungry horrors, but what someone experiences JUST after completing a run.
I lay out all of my running gear the night before my run so I've been adding a Special K bar to the routine. It has really saved me from tearing apart the kitchen after a quick workout.
My favorite bar has to be the Salted Caramel Chocolate bars. I mean hello it has chocolate in the title. In addition to actual chocolate chunks, it has some awesome salted caramel drizzle on top.
While I gravitate towards the bars with chocolate, my wife is the fruit bar fan in the house.
She has been sneaking off with the Blueberry Bliss bars hidden in her hockey bag. I mean I would share if she asked. Okay okay maybe I would share! ;)
The wife and I agree that the bars - both fruit or chocolate - are chewy, light, tasty and a great snack.
Now I do wish they were like two bites bigger. What a girl can dream? :P But really for 3 PPV they are a good snack for me.
I know everyone has different definitions of something being "WW Points worthy," but I would recommend giving these a try. They aren't dry, aren't painful to bite in to and really have chunks of fruit or chocolate.
Oh boy... my stomach is starting to growl!
