Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death
in the United States.
What is a Stroke?
A stroke is a "brain attack". It can happen to anyone at any time. It occurs when blood flow to an area of brain is cut off. When this happens, brain cells are deprived of oxygen and begin to die. When brain cells die during a stroke, abilities controlled by that area of the brain such as memory and muscle control are lost.
Do you know the warning signs for a Stroke? If you don't simply remember FAST:
Since 2013, I have had the honor of being a part of Tedy's Team, raising awareness and helping to #FightStroke.
What exactly does that mean?
Get one person in each of the 50 states to donate at least $20 and share the warning signs of stroke to raise awareness.
With the 50 days ending on December 31, he is coming down to the wire and has 7 states remaining!
The 7 states are:
- New Mexico
If you are someone you know lives in one of these States, please think about donating to this great cause. If not, please think about spreading the warning signs of Stroke and the importance of thinking F.A.S.T!!!!
