I'm Going BACK BACK to Runner's World Festival!!

I'm going back back to Bethlehem Bethlehem!

Is that not how the song goes? ;)

Well I couldn't say Cali because that wouldn't be true and I don't lie to you fine folks!

But I AM excited to announce that I will be heading to the Runner's World Half & Festival in Pennsylvania for the second year as a Runner's World Influencer. Woo! :)

I had an absolute BLAST last year. Thanks in part to these three sweet running friends. They put up with my mid-run selfies, taking candy from strangers, posing for ridiculous photos and putting the FUN in RUNning!

We will miss Presley as she is all home being pregnant! Womp womp!

What is there no fun in running?

With me - there definitely is!

I'm sure Bart Yasso made it known that he needed his favorite blogger there - yes that would be me. ;)

Let me stop name dropping and get back to the facts. Oh I crack myself up sometimes...

What will the Festival/courses include?

The racecourses feature Bethlehem's historic neighborhoods, including some of the town's original 1741 settlement, two renowned colleges, Lehigh University and Moravian College, and the former Bethlehem Steel complex–where the backbone of the nation was literally forged.

The festival weekend next year will include:

  • Seminars
  • Live music
  • Running films
  • Prerace dinner with Runner's World editors
  • Kids races and children's programming (Saturday)
  • 5K and 10K races (Saturday)
  • Dog run (Saturday)
  • Half marathon (Sunday)

Now I watched the kids races and dog run last year and they were ADORABLE and MOTIVATING! I highly recommend checking both out.

But, we are really going for the running, right?

Here's the sked:

Friday, October 16
The Altra 3.8-Mile Trail Run Presented by REI - 3pm

Saturday, October 17
5k – 8am
10k – 9:30am

Sunday, October 18
Half Marathon – 8am

Did anyone notice that new trail run sneak in there?

So who is up for a challenge or two? Runner’s World has your back. You can take your pick from:

^ Five & Dime, where you take on the back-to-back 5k and 10k on Saturday

or

^ Hat Trick, where you tackle the 5k, the 10k and come back on Sunday for a little Half Marathon

^ You can also do an unofficial challenge of taking on all four races, which would bring your three-day mileage to a nice 26.2 miles. See what they did there?

(FYI: The Trail Run is almost 100% sold out so jump on that registration ASAP! No discount code available)

Can you all guess which one I am taking on? Yeah you all know me and my love of bling … so Trail Run PLUS Hat Trick it is.

Oh did I forget to mention the bling? Yes, each race includes a sweet little Finisher’s medal. Calling all bling lovers!!

Now for the good part… I am happy to offer you all – my amazing readers and social media friends – some discounts for the weekend.

Code will get you: $3.50 off the 5K; $4 off the 10K; $7.50 off the Five and Dime; $9.50 off the Half; $17 off the Hat trick!!

So now I need to know – will I see you out in Pennsylvania October 16-18? If so, which distance(s) are you tackling?
